Placing an Ad in The Classical Journal
There are four issues in each volume published October-November through April-May of every year.

Special offer for advertisers in the Classical Journal:
Place an ad in CJ and receive a discount on a full page color ad in the CAMWS annual meeting program.
- A full page ad in an issue CJ costs $350
- Full page color ad in program costs $300
- Purchase both ads for $500 with the option of adding on the 20% institutional membership discount.

Price includes the option to have the same ad posted on the CAMWS website, together with a link to the advertiser's home page and an image (such as a book cover) related to the advertisement.

Please follow the sizing guidelines for each of the areas you would like to advertise in, and ensure that images are at a resolution of 150 dpi. These sidebar ads should be submitted as .jpeg or .png files.
Ads will be shown in a random rotation, based on the total number of advertisers who have submitted web advertisements. These sidebar ads appear on the website of The Classical Journal for one year.

The Classical Association of the Middle West and South has the responsibility as well as the right to exercise control over the content of its publications and advertising in order to insure that they reflect its mission statement (https://camws.org/about/missionstatement.php), core values of diversity and inclusion (https://camws.org/diversitycharter), and commitment to professional ethics (https://classicalstudies.org/about/scs-statement-professional-ethics). These goals include fostering communication and exchange among teachers and scholars, defending the fair and professional treatment of all its members, and advocacy for the study of Classics and the humanities in general. The Classical Association of the Middle West and South strives to uphold these goals in all of its publications and advertising. An advertisement in the publications of the Classical Association of the Middle West and South does not constitute an endorsement of content. Members of the organization or other affiliated parties concerned about misconduct (e.g., allegations of fraud or of discriminatory, irresponsible, or exploitative practices) on the part of an individual or group advertising with the Classical Association of the Middle West and South should direct their concerns to the Secretary-Treasurer, who will bring them to the attention of the President and the Executive Committee (Approved by the CAMWS Executive Committee on February 26, 2020).
COPY DEADLINES
Advertising space should be reserved as early as possible, but always a month in advance of the ads receipt date (see table below). Copy must be in the hands of the Editor by the following dates for the issues indicated; we cannot guarantee placement of late copy.
