Information for Subscribers to The Classical Journal

The Classical Journal (ISSN 0009-8353) is published by the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS), which was founded in 1905 and incorporated under the laws of the State of Missouri on July 13, 1948. An educational, not-for-profit organization, CAMWS is exempt from federal income tax as a public charity under IRS 501(c)(3). Our fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

The current volume of The Classical Journal is numbered 119. CJ 119.4 completes the volume for this year.

It will be mailed the week of March 30 2023, and will be available in Project Muse for electronic subscribers in the following days.

a. For Libraries

Libraries wishing not only to subscribe to The Classical Journal in ELECTRONIC format but also to receive a PRINT version should follow the instructions for ELECTRONIC ONLY subscriptions

ELECTRONIC + PRINT Subscriptions

a. For Libraries

Libraries wishing not only to subscribe to The Classical Journal in ELECTRONIC format but also to receive a PRINT version should follow the instructions for ELECTRONIC ONLY subscriptions, i.e. contact:

b. For Individuals

Individuals may subscribe to a volume of The Classical Journal in both PRINT and ELECTRONIC formats. The price for an individual PRINT + ELECTRONIC  subscription to a volume of The Classical Journal varies according to status. The regular subsription rate is $70. Lower rates are available for students, retirees, and contingent faculty. Individual subscriptions automatically include membership in CAMWS.
